For Earth Day 2010, we want to draw your attention to the amazing work of the BARKA foundation, implementing school water projects in Burkina Faso. Learn more about the BARKA Foundation and their contribution to healthy children, a healthy education and a healthy planet

Earth Day Network is highlighting the Herculean efforts of Global Response, promoting the Kids for Patagonia Letter Writing Project which aims to galvanize political will and public support for stopping construction on the Patagonian wilderness. Join the fight and write a letter for Earth Day!

Mike Town – Redmond High School, Redmond, WA


Earth Day Network would like to congratulate Mike Town, an Earth Day Network 2007-09 Climate Change Educator for being recognized as the K-12 Educator of the Year by the North American Association of Environmental Education. Earth Day Network nominated Mr. Town of Redmond High School in Washington for this prestigious award because of his innovative and successful programs and his dedication to environmental education, including his nationally-recognized Cool School Challenge. Congratulations Mr. Town!
