This year a school-wide recycling program was started involving paper and plastic bottles. It has grown from filling 3 bins to 6 bins each month.
Students decorated and distributed the small bins that were placed by beverage machines, printers and in classrooms as desired by the teacher. Email messages and posters in the building provided information.
Students roll the large bins to pick up the materials from the small bins. Staff, students and parents are becoming more aware of recycling. The potential for careers in the industry will be the next focus.
