Percy Julian High School's Profile

Named after the renowned African-American chemist Percy Lavon Julian, Percy L. Julian High school has operated since 1975 as a college preparatory institution. With a culturally diverse and highly educated staff (many of whom are alumni of the school), priorities are given to encourage community and parent involvement, increase the opportunities of advanced courses in math and sciences available and prepare students to contribute greatly to society.

Percy Julian High School is a participating EDN National Civic Education Project (NCEP) school. The NCEP teacher at the school, Linnea Garrett, is teaching her science students about environmental issues, bringing them outdoors, and getting them involved in the political process.
