During the 2007-2008 school year, teachers of the Team 7C Civic Education Project have incorporated green lessons into math, language arts, social studies, science and special education classes. In the fall the students were introduced to global and local environmental problems and later gained the tools, through lessons on activism, to address these issues. The team and their students will culminate the year with the creation of outdoor classroom and garden, incorporating vermicomposting in their cafeteria to reduce waste within the school.
