EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES      AIR QUALITY     Students at Winton Montessori will be partnering with high school students at the Aiken Career High School to take outdoor air quality tests and present the data to the city council with the hope that air pollution is better addressed in the community.              SCHOOL GREENING EFFORTS     As a member on Winton’s building committee, teacher Penny Greenler is encouraging the school to adopt LEED gold standards for the school’s upcoming renovation. She is also working with the Green Schools Committee for Cincinnati public schools to incorporate environmental education into school curricula. With students making efforts to reduce the school’s carbon footprint, Penny and her students are a shining force towards school greening.
