Earth Day Music Fest 2008 held on April 19, 2008 at the Grand Park located at the Old Airforce Base in Myrtle Beach, SC. This festival is a Free Family Friendly event that will highlight eco-friendly lifestyles and healthy living. We are pleased to announce that South Carolina’s First Lady Jenny Sanford will serve as our Honorary Chair. First Lady Sanford says, “It’s crucial that we all work toward creating a more eco-friendly South Carolina- as our environment greatly influences our health and the future of generations to come. I am proud to be a part of this initiative and these efforts to help us all live longer, happier lives.”
The Wellness Council for South Carolina has planned to hold this all day festival, which will highlight local eco-
friendly businesses and organizations, as well as a variety of non-profits. Since we attract a wide range of attendees of all ages we have planned events accordingly. Festival activities will include music from local, regional, and national bands of various music genre, a kid’s zone, and vendors.
