Theme: Russian Eco Festival Earth Day objectives:

• Influence an ecological perspective and environmental awareness of the youth of Russia, with emphasis on nature preservation, ecologically responsible life style and family values
• Present the concept of ecological awareness in upbeat manner, reinforcing positive correlation with ecological matters and kind, respectful treatment of Planet Earth
• Present ecologically focused movements and organizations, raising public awareness and attracting new members
• Inform global public of new achievements in the ecological conservation area, demonstrate some of the ecologically progressive achievements during the festival, presenting practical solutions to allow practice ecologically responsible standpoint daily.

Festival framework: As part of the Eco Festival immediate ecologic initiatives as well as endorsement of environmental issues in art and public events of ecological focus take place in various cities and regions of Russian Federation throughout 2007-2008. As part of the Festival activities “direct actions” aquatic environment cleaning initiatives of the smaller rivers and natural fishponds, as well as terrain cleaning take place. Art competitions with the environmental preservation as the focal point are organized.
