Mobilize your campus to sign and support the Sky Petition and pressure congress to:
Impose an immediate moratorium on the building of all new conventional
coal-fired power plants, and require a phase out of 30 percent of existing
coal plants by 2030.
Require that all utilities generate 30 percent of their electricity from
renewable energy sources by 2030.
Require that all new buildings, renovations and developments immediately reduce fossil-fuel energy consumption by 50 percent, and that all new
buildings become ‘carbon neutral’ by 2030.
Protect the poor and middle class from unfairly bearing the cost of solving
the climate crisis.
Talk to you campus computer support division (or whoever runs computer labs on your campus) and have them designate computers at certain labs for signing the sky petition during the week of Earth Day.
